 The 2019 Novel Coronavirus

What Patients and Families Need To Know

Trillium Health Partners is closely monitoring the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as it unfolds. At this time, the Public Health Agency of Canada states that the risk to Canadians is low.

For more detailed information on the status of the virus and risk to Canadians, please visit the Public Health Agency of Canada or Ontario Ministry of Health websites.

What measures are in place at THP to prevent transmission of the virus?

Enhanced screening of patients is being done at hospital entrances to quickly identify patients who have signs and symptoms of infection. Infection protocols will immediately take effect for patients who screen positive for the virus, with confirmatory testing to be completed by Public Health Ontario.

Trillium Health Partners is working closely with the Ministry of Health and Public Health Ontario to ensure alignment and effective implementation as we continue to monitor the virus.
