Important Information:

  • Patient needs to confirm appointment with Specialists Office Immediately.
  • Please arrive 1hr before your procedure time, unless your appointment is booked after 2:30pm, you must arrive by 1:30 p.m.
  • Please bring your signed consent form from the Office (if you have one).
  • Bring your health card and an identification card with your photo on it, like a driver's license.
  • Bring a list of any medications you are taking
  • Advise office immediately if you are taking Diabetes Medication or blood thinners or have an Implanted Cardiac Device (Pacemaker, ICD or Defibrillator)
  • Please leave all valuables and jewellery at home
  • Do not wear perfume, cologne, or scented creams as some staff and patients are highly allergic.
  • If you require a cane or walker please bring them to the Hospital with you
  • Arrange for an interpreter to come with you on the day of your procedure if you speak limited English.

Cancellation Policy:

If you are unable to keep your appointment, you must notify the Specialists Office in advance. Failure to inform the Office could result in a cancellation fee.

Conscious Sedation:

You will most likely receive conscious sedation, therefore you will need an adult friend or family member to sign responsibility for you at the time of discharge. You will not be able to drive yourself. The entire appointment (registration, procedure and post observation) will take approximately 2-3 hours. Plan to rest at home for the remainder of the day, with an adult present, as you will be drowsy from the medication. You are restricted from driving, or operating hazardous machinery, or drinking alcohol for the rest of the day, as you are receiving medications that can make you sleepy.
