Morgan Lim, MA, PhD

Manager, Data & Advanced Analytics, Institute for Better Health

Biography

Morgan is a data-driven influencer who is working towards transforming health care in a way that represents and is tailored towards the needs, preferences and values of our diverse population. She is the Manager of Data & Advanced Analytics (pending approval) and a Scientist at the IBH. Her research expertise is in health services research, health economics, health technology assessment and mathematical modeling. On the operational side, she is responsible for building a Big Data platform to support research and innovation for THP and the hospital’s community partners. Morgan is passionate about health care reform and has worked for over a decade to derive solutions that enable individuals to receive the most effective and highest quality of care.

Current Projects

  • Customizing care for women diagnosed with breast cancer undergoing day surgery: Mapping the needs and preferences of diverse populations. Funded by Trillium Health Partners Foundation
  • Redesigning the model of care for cataract surgery in Ontario: Development and implementation of an electronic cataract appropriateness and prioritization system. Funded by Alcon, Johnson&Johnson and Valeant
  • Understanding the out-of-pocket costs associated with patients receiving wound care treatment for diabetic foot ulcers. Funded by Mississauga-Halton LHIN​​
