The Adult and College/University Programs offer a variety of opportunities for post secondary students, adults and seniors. Whether you’re a university student interested in pursuing a career in healthcare or an adult, who wants to give back to the community, opportunities are available at all three sites.
There will be two recruitment periods during the year: one in January/February and one in late July/August. Applications will only be processed on line during our recruitment periods. A minimum commitment of 6 months, one shift per week, must be fulfilled prior to providing documentation of hours.
The following steps must occur before becoming a Trillium Health Partners volunteer:
- Submit an online application
- Attend a scheduled interview
Upon acceptance as a volunteer you will be required to:
- Attend a two hour orientation
- Submit two reference forms
- Complete the Health Surveillance Clearance Form
Since many positions involve contact with people (staff, family, patients etc.,) excellent customer service and communications skills are a must. Taking initiative, being compassionate and exhibiting professionalism are also very valuable assets.
