Canadian Residency Matching Service (CaRMS)

Trillium Health Partners is committed to the future success of all medical students. CaRMS is a national service organization that provides fair and transparent application and matching service for entry into postgraduate medical training throughout Canada. A key component of the CaRMS application is letters of reference from physician preceptors. Any teaching physician may be approached to write a letter of reference for our medical students. To support physician preceptors and our medical students, a CaRMS Physician Toolkit is available. The toolkit provides critical context on how to effectively support our students through the residency application process and in particular, on how to write effective reference letters.   Please contact the Education Office to obtain a CaRMS Physician Toolkit.  For more information on the matching and selection process please visit the CaRMS website.
