Peel Behavioural Services is a community service that offers functional behavioural assessments, individual behavioural programs, brief interventions, consultative assistance, educational sessions, groups and a resource library for children and their families.
The goal of the service is to train parents, teachers or workers in the use of behaviour techniques. These mediators will be better prepared to teach and guide the child to learn behaviours and skills necessary for adapting to community life.
Who we Help
The child must live in Peel Region, be over the age of two, and have a developmental disability, autism or pervasive developmental disorders (PDD), a group of disorders characterized by delays in the development of socialization and communication skills.
Location
Treatment is provided in-home, in daycare settings and in schools.
Hours
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
