Innovative New Program Provides Support for Men Battling Prostate Cancer
Mississauga, ON (November 14, 2013) – A prostate cancer diagnosis can be a daunting one. Patients are often unsure about next steps. The Mississauga Halton/Central West Regional Cancer Program has developed a program, located at Trillium Health Partners' Credit Valley Hospital and Queensway Health Centre, which can help provide some support. The Prostate Cancer Diagnostic Assessment Program (DAP) is the first and only DAP in the region that has been developed for patients in the post-diagnosis stage of their prostate cancer.

Trillium Health Partners Conducting Review After Identifying Performance Issues with a Radiologist
Mississauga/West Toronto – Trillium Health Partners stated today that it is in the process of reviewing 3,500 CT scans and mammograms conducted between April 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013 to ensure the accuracy of results. This review is being undertaken due to a performance issue with one radiologist at Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Centre. All patients whose scans are being reviewed have been notified.

Hospital shows commitment to the future of health care; clerks begin providing supervised patient care
(Mississauga, ON) – Trillium Health Partners announced today that its medical education program is expanding as part of the hospital's commitment to the future of health care in Mississauga and West Toronto. Beginning September 9, 2013, the first group of third-year medical students (known as clerks) from the University of Toronto's Mississauga Academy of Medicine will begin their clinical, hands-on training at the hospital under the guidance and supervision of physicians.

$1.5 million donation makes new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit a reality for Trillium Health Partners
New space inspired by nature – wood, water, light and stone
MISSISSAUGA (June 20, 2013) – Yesterday, Trillium Health Partners unveiled its new, 6,200 sq. ft. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located in the Mississauga Hospital. The state-of-the-art space, which provides the ultimate in safety, comfort and privacy, was made possible by local businessman and philanthropist, Peter Gilgan, who donated $1.5 million towards the NICU, kick-starting the $4-million project.
