Ontario Reducing Carbon Footprint, Boosting Care at Hospitals in Mississauga
Energy Savings to be Reinvested in Patient Care
(Mississauga, ON) – Ontario is investing in hospitals to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gases and redirect savings into patient care across the province.
Today, Minister Charles Sousa, MPP for Mississauga South, was at the Trillium Mississauga Hospital, to announce the Hospital Energy Efficiency Program.

New Funding to Support Patients with Dementia
Innovative new model to improve the quality of life and care for older adults with dementia
(Mississauga, ON) September 26, 2017 – Today, Trillium Health Partners (THP) was awarded $570,050 in financial support by The Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) to support its Care Connector project, an electronic system aimed at reducing Emergency Department visits and hospital readmissions in patients with dementia. Support for CABHI’s funding programs is provided by the Government of Canada through the Public Health Agency of Canada; the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Science; and by the Baycrest Foundation.

We are pleased to welcome Walter Wodchis PhD
as the inaugural Research Chair of Implementation and Evaluation Science and a Senior Scientist at the Institute for Better Health.
(Mississauga, ON) – A collaboration between the Trillium Health Partners’ Institute for Better Health and the University of Toronto’s Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, this Research Chair will be focused on advancing and leading research to inform health system organization, delivery and financing.

Trillium Health Partners Hospital Expansion Projects Approved
Provincial Budget names investment in Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Centre
(Mississauga, ON) – Today, at Trillium Health Partners (THP), Mississauga Hospital, the Government of Ontario announced a plan to invest an additional $9 billion to support the construction of new hospital projects across the province, including two major redevelopment and expansion projects at the Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Centre.

Trillium Health Partners Opens New Complex Continuing Care Space
The Moir Family makes a $1 Million Donation to the new space
(Mississauga, ON) – Today, Trillium Health Partners (THP) and Trillium Health Partners Foundation (THPF) celebrated the opening of the new Complex Continuing Care space at the Queensway Health Centre site.
Thanks to a $7.4 Million investment from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHTLC) and a generous $1 Million donation from the Moir family, THP has been able to redevelop and redesign complex continuing care.
