Intensive Outpatient Program

Guided by the Recovery Model, the Intensive Outpatient Program consists of specialized group therapy sessions led by clinical therapists.

This is a three (3) hour, “half-day” behavioural treatment program which runs for a maximum of 12 weeks. Participants have the opportunity to utilize the therapeutic groups to better understand problematic patterns as they maintain or reintegrate back into valued life roles.

This is a skills-based program, emphasizing the use of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. The program emphasizes finding solutions, enhancement and use of coping skills, increasing supports, and striving for a healthy balance in the areas of self-care, productivity and leisure. It has been found that helping clients to prepare to return to employment and other forms of meaningful productivity is key to the recovery process and helps clients regain a positive identity and rebuild lives they want to live.
