At Trillium Health Partners, more than 1600 volunteers help provide a welcoming, caring environment for everyone who enters our hospital doors. Our Volunteers give their time and expertise to support patients, their families, visitors, learners and staff at all our sites. They contribute to THP's vision of creating a new kind of health care for a healthier community.
What We Do
In partnership with departments across the hospital and our valued community organizations, the Volunteer Resources Department at THP leads the planning, coordination, and support needed to ensure every volunteer enjoys an exceptional and meaningful experience.
Volunteers contribute to many areas across our Trillium Health Partner sites, including - but not limited to - patient care services, support/administrative services and fundraising. Trillium HealthWorks
On June 25, 2025, THP broke ground on the Trillium HealthWorks initiative - our major health infrastructure renewal plan designed to meet the evolving needs of our growing community. This historic philanthropic contribution marks a significant milestone in our journey to build Canada’s largest hospital, which will be named The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital upon completion. The donation also supports the expansion of our Queensway Health Centre, which will become The Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre once the project is complete.
